Draw the Line on Fracking Rally

UKOOG have decided to sponsor an Oil and Gas Summit in Manchester this year in an attempt to schmooze local government representatives into putting through planning applications against the tides of objections to this industry – big mistake!

Instead of a load of oily types serving up meritless phrases like ‘gold standard regulations’ and treating our COP21 commitments as a distant memory, we’re here to remind local planning officers (who may already have huge question marks over what this industry will mean for the North) that this is a red line for us. We do not want fracking here or anywhere, not when renewables will deliver many more jobs and clean energy that won’t cost us our future.
