Greater Manchester Day at Preston New Road
April 16 @ 09:00 - 17:00
Come and show your solidarity with the movement against fracking in Lancashire on Monday 16th April, when Frack Free Greater Manchester will be supporting the three month long United Resistance by hosting a day of demonstration at Preston New Road.
We will be celebrating another year without fracking in Lancashire as well as protesting Caudrilla’s attempts to start fracking at Preston New Road. There will be a march to the site and demonstration followed by an open mic for people to bring any anti-fracking (or other!) performances. So please come wearing yellow, bring banners, poems and songs. We look forward to seeing you there.
While there is sometimes food available at the site it is probably a good idea to bring a packed lunch. There is a community hub at Maple Farm with seating, shelter and toilets.
There will be a coach to and from Preston New Road on the day, departing at 09:00 from Chorlton Street, Central Manchester M1 3JF, and returning from Preston New Road at 15:30 to arrive back at Chorlton Street by 17:00. Tickets are £10 waged and £5 unwaged.
