Prison Demo #FreeTheThree

October 6, 2018 @ 12:30 - 14:00

Our friends are being held in Preston prison for trying to stop fracking. Please join us in letting them know they’re not forgotten!!! ****Meet at Preston Train Station at 12.30 – it’s a short march to the prison where we will stop and send them some love!**** See you there!

Rich, Rich and Roscoe spent 3 days on top of lorries, stopping the delivery of fracking equipment to the UKs first commercial scale fracking site last summer. Last week they were sentenced to an unprecedented 15/16 months in prison.

While they’re locked up they can only have 3 visits a month. But they are allowed into the exercise yard on weekend afternoons. In the exercise yard you can’t see out, but you can hear out!

These guys took action because they get the big picture, they wanted to support folks in Lancashire, and they know that fossil fuel exploitation at home is going to affect millions of vulnerable people worldwide. Now they’ve been torn away from their families and locked up. So let’s pay them a visit together!

The plan is to *meet at Preston Station main entrance* with banners and placards and march together to the prison, which is a 15 minute walk away through the town centre.

When we arrive we’ll gather at the castle style front entrance of the prison on the grassy area by the trees. We don’t know yet what sort of tunes would go down well with the three as well as the other prisoners. We’re going to be asking them so we make sure we get it right.

Bring yourself, your messages and placards, and a red rose if you have any. Lets break down the walls with love and solidarity!
