MCR stands with PNR #5
We had a great turnout for the "celebration" of the first anniversary of Cuadrilla's presence at PNR (near Blackpool) on January 5th. Over 30 of us made it, from all parts of Greater Manchester, and we marched to the site behind our banners . Altogether there were around 200 of us,, twice the number needed to stop traffic entering and leaving the site. Power Trip: Fracking in the UK takes you onto the frontlines of UK resistance in the battle to stop the controversial energy extraction process known as fracking.The film follows grandmothers who set up a campaign group (Lancashire Nanas) and teamed up with young activists (Reclaim the Power) to shut down the Fracking sites of Cuadrilla near Blackpool (Lancashire) and Balcombe (West Sussex) by occupying trucks and blocking gates.
